Happy Halloween

It’s that time again. Please take the time to think about what your pup/dog is actually seeing. From your point of view “Look at all the cute kids and their cute costumes”. From the dog’s point of view “STRANGER DANGER, STRANGER DANGER”.  Your dog doesn’t understand how you can remain so calm when really frightening things are going on. Just be aware that not all dogs find it amusing to be scared. Some may cower, some may lash out. Some may not care. If your dog is used to all kinds of confusion and people coming and going all the time, he probably won’t care. If you only have parties and visitors occasionally, keep your pup leashed or crated while the scary stuff is happening and remember to keep the candy far away from your 4 legged kids. Have a happy safe halloween.
